Better Word could have been used by HP

Hello Friends,

Here is an ad which could have used better words to communicate the core message than what have been used.

The objective of the ad here is to convey that "Reduce Your Printing Costs by Half" in comparison with other inkjet printers.

The word "Mulya" is not an appropriate word to convey the desired message. The word "Kharch" should have been used which  would convey the same yet understandable meaning in this communication.

As per my view "Tamara Printing Kharchma Kaap Muko" would have conveyed the same meaning in a better way.

Moreover the main word "Adhu Sudhi" is also not appropriate since it does not gel with the sentence. For the continuity of the message it should have been "Adha Sudhi"

"Dot" makes a lot of a difference..

Here in this ad a DOT has made all the difference. The advertiser has missed out on putting the "bindi" above almost all the words where it is required. For Eg. "Panchmukhi" is written "Pachmukhi"

"Sansar" is written as "Sasar" and likewise the ad has the DOT missing.

Friends do keep visiting the blog for more such posts. Do send something similar that you come across.

Sreesanth does not know GUJARATI!

Yes.. He does not know how to speak Gujarati.... But the people who made this Gujarati ad should know it.

"Main Try Karo" actually should have been "Main Try Karyu"

Big Brand who can afford to take Shreeshant as their model and spends such a lot of money for a front page ad in Gujarat Samachar should ensure good translation.

Do keep on visiting this blog, while I will keep a track of promotions and bring it to you.

"Parantu" becomes "Marantu"

Dear Friends,

The ad wanted to convey the word "Parantu" and here the headline reads "Marantu" instead of it...

The frequency of the ads with mistake are now increasing and it seems that even the local dealers or stockists or branches or associates also do not care to bring it to the notice of their associates.

This has appeared in Sandesh - Ahmedabad yesterday.

Wrong Conjunctions and Wrong Gujarati!

Dear Friends,

Here is yet another big advertisement of "MAHA CHALLENGE - Kitchen Ka Boss Kaun"

The Headline, main message has number of errors of spelling and sentence breaks / conjunctions which changes the meaning. "TeamMa" as one word would mean "in the team" post translation. But if you write separately "Team MA" then it would mean "Team MOTHER"

Sadly, many Brands and Big Names are associated with this ad  as sponsors and partners but no one cares!

Some day, such mistakes might lead to an ad with a seriously wrong misleading meaning.

Do keep on visiting the blog and send in your comments.

Wrong Brand Name in Gujarati!

Dear Friends,

Sorry I had a small break in between. I am back again with yet another ad where the company on one hand says that "Please be aware of  similar kind of Brands" as a caution and they themselves write their own brand name wrongly. "MELAS" is typed as "MELAJ" in gujarati.

Their effort to popularise the brand name takes a big hit from their own carelessness.

This ad was carried in Divya Bhaskar - Ahmedabad today.
