Small Mistake in Punctuation.....Big Difference in the Message!!

I came across this advertisement in Divya Bhaskar today.

The advertisement has a very good social message on the occasion of WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY.

The photograph used in the creative relates to the headline very nicely but the copy has a wrong punctuation of question marks in the end instead of a full stop. This has lead to a confusing message.

As per my opinion this would have been even better and a stronger message if the statement would have read "તમારી જીંદગી આમ સળગવા દેશો ???" The word "ના" should have been avoided if the question marks were to be put.

Apart from that there is a careless mistake in the date which has been marked in the creative.

Typing Error

Hello Friends,

Here is an ad where there is a typing error which has been overlooked while proof reading. The words Come and Showroom have a mistake.

Such small mistakes take the charm away from the whole advertisement.

Sometimes I wonder if there are proof readers left. Few years back there used to be a post of a Proof Reader in Ad Agencies. Now this post  is rarely heard of. This is the precise reason that such mistakes keep on happening.

Mistake in Headline!!

Dear Friends,

Here is an ad where there is a mistake in the main word of the communication - Hair. Plural of the word "hair" has been used in Gujarati. As such like we do not use plural "hairs" to indicate all the hair on the head in English, similarly it also stands true for Gujarati language.

The ad has been printed time and again with this mistake being repeated.
